On Wednesday 15 December Margaret visited the Bed Centre, Calpe to deliver the equipment we collected for donating to the children who are supported by Make a Smile.
Founder Lucy Rowat Grande was on hand with Gemma Tonks, Treasurer to receive our donations and both said how pleased they were with these devices and with all that we had given during the year. They said these items make such a difference for the children, allowing them to get on with homework and of course playing the odd game!
Our second charity to benefit from members generosity is Todos Juntos, Javea to which we gave the sum of 300€ collected as donations for refurbished equipment or simply cash to help their local causes.
Margaret attended the Todos Juntos 10th Anniversay Dinner at Restaurante Carrasco on Friday 17 December and presented our member Marion Kenworthy (Secretary of Todos Juntos) with the cash. She gave a huge thanks to everyone who had helped raise this generous amount.
