This Thursday, 21st April, we discuss VPNs: “Virtual Private Network”s. Some club members are always going on about using a VPN when doing stuff over the Internet. What are they? Why might I want to use one? (hint: perhaps it’s something to do with BBC iPlayer ). Is it worth paying a subscription for a VPN service even though there are quite a number of free ones available ? Which is “the best”? … and what the heck is a DDNS ? … (Hint: Perhaps its something to do with BBC iPlayer again!)
