BAD APPS
PLAYSTORE
When installing an app from the PlayStore watch for the appearance of the “Verified by Play Protect” text. If it does not appear do not run the app.
Click on your PlayStore profile at the top right and look at Settings. There are numerous settings which might interest you.
BE CAREFUL OF THESE TYPES OF APP
1. Music Players 2. Obscure Browsers 3. Free VPNs 4. Voice Recorders 5. Cleaner Apps 6. Apps That Claim to Increase RAM 7. Unknown AntiVirus Programs 8. Disk Cleaning Apps
Don’t install unnecessary apps. Use a VPN. Common sense..if it looks suspicious, it probably is.
Look at app reviews.. these are a good way of judging apps.
LAUNCHERS
The main screen of your smartphone is referred to as a Launcher, i.e., it is used to start (launch) your apps.
All smartphones come with a Launcher designed by the manufacturer. Some of these are messy, multi-paged and poorly designed and confusing.
Try replacing yours with a one screen Launcher such as Nova7 from the PlayStore. If you need help in doing this and making your smartphone operation much simpler, help is available at the JCC.
