It is with great sadness we report the death, on Saturday 11 May, of our former Treasurer Geoff Hurst.
Funeral details will be notified when known.
Geoff was a member of the Club for several years and Treasurer for over 5 during which time he kept immaculate and detailed records of our accounts and steered the Club finances through some tough times.
We suffered the ‘big flood’ and had to move premises, we then had Brexit and Covid which reduced our member numbers significantly and thus greatly affected our income.
Throughout it all he remained calm and cheerful, ensuring everything was kept on an even keel.
He will be sadly missed by us all and we send our condolences to his family and close friends.
