Last November we discussed the options for Windows 10 desktops and laptops when support for Windows 10 ends later in 2025. One option is to ditch Windows altogether and install another OS such as Linux. We recommend Linux Mint, but members need to have hands-on experience before taking the plunge. The club has therefore installed Linux Mint 22 on some second-hand laptops for members to borrow and play with. We’ll show you the basics, then let you take the laptop home to mess around with at leisure and without any fear of messing up your personal machine.
