Is the Internet herding people around like sheep?

Everybody seems to know somebody who has just been to Japan or is about to go. Why is it the destination of the summer? What makes 14 million people ask for tickets to see Oasis perform in the UK leg of their world tour? Why is everything labelled “gluten-free” – even shampoo? This Thursday, September 11th, we will discuss how the Internet, particularly social media, is acting like a sheep-dog and herding us into behaving like sheep (or like lemmings if you prefer !)
