Following on from last week’s lively session, this Thursday, October 20th we discuss three money-related topics. First, we look more closely at digital banks in Europe: Which are the best? is your money safe? who regulates them? are there any downsides? Second: Have you considered dabbling in a cryptocurrency like Bitcoin but don’t understand a thing about it? JCC member, Katharine Murphy has written a cryptocurrency (!) and will show a couple of slides to explain the principles behind these currencies. It’s a type of ledger called “Blockchain” Then we’ll finish off with a discussion on the role of cash these days: do you use cash? Why? Will it disappear any time soon?
