Remember the Good Old Days of the 1990s, when Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web, hailed it as a digital space where people could freely share information? It was a great tool for discovering new ideas, learning about different cultures and expanding our horizons. But look at it now – full of basura, much of which is automatically generated. Some say the Internet is dying. This week, on Thursday, August 28, we’ll do our best to determine how much of the Internet is fake (there are so many conflicting, fake reports!), discuss its future and how this will impact our lives.
