On our final Thursday session of the year, 18 December, Chris showed a variety of YouTube clips to entertain Club members while they waited for the Xmas celebratory drinks and nibbles to be served. Here are links to the videos we watched, so that you can re-watch or share them. Feliz Fiestas!
First we went back to the past when cinema was free of CGI or even safely nets!
Next – we went to the the opposite extreme: A ballet created and performed entirely by AI: Music, visuals – Weird, wonderful and inhuman..
Imagine if the English decided to pronounce all those silent “H” s ?
Here’s are some fun classical musical acrobatics from a foursome of very talented (and competitive) lady musicians
This is not really a flashmob, but a well orchestrated ceremony for turning on the Christmas lights in Paris:
Eat your hearts out UK – THE viral Christmas advert this year is French! It’s not easy to make friends when you eat them
JCC members recommended that we watch some UK Christmas adverts to see how they compare. First, John Lewis, which is usually very good. This one seems to be aimed at sending a message about positive masculinity – improving father and son relationships.
Then we watched the Marks and Spencer’s ad: Starring Dawn French …and it’s all about party food…(no comment)
